So when yang2, wani and shidan planned to go to Sunway Pyramid ,i followed them. But when we arrived at pyramid, the swollen getting worse until to the extend i can’t walk and the pain was sooo excruciating. so yang2 came up with and idea to get a whellchair from the concierge for me. there it goes me sitting on a wheel chair roaming around sunway pyramid. the experence?
1.since im on a wheelchair so to moved around floors i need to use the lift. 1st lift i enter was the lift at the ice skating arena. when i was waiting, there is a guy and his family waiting at the lift as well. when the lift stopped, the guy and the family just straight go into the lift ignoring me on a wheelchair. since he has entered the lift, there are no space for me to go in, so i waited for another one, while waiting, another family came as well. when the other lift stopped the family just let me in first and then only they go in.
2. the second lift i used was at the GF near Jusco. this time the crowd that waited with me was good. there is one guy even help me in and out of the lift as there is a gap on in between the doors.
3.went into a store named ANIMAL. (it’s a UK brand for surfing and extreme sports attire). i went into the shop to check out sandal as i need to buy a new sandal for me. when i try to out of the store, there was a lady standing right in front of the store island ignoring me even after i say “excuse me” i was like wTF! can’t you see? so i went the other way but the i can’t go through because there was a cloth rack blocking the wheelchair, noticing i’m having difficulties going out, the store assistant help me by moving the rack and pushed me out.
4. went into quicksilver. this store is quite spacious and have plenty of room for a wheelchair bound person to move. i went to the sandal section, the store assistant this time was very helpful she even move the chair for people that want to try out shoes and sandals for me to go nearer to the sandals section.she even help me to get the sandals that i can’t reach. she was very helpful. Unfortunately i din’t buy anything here as the sandal that i like does not have my size.
5.Starbucks. this outlet even better. the upon seeing me queing up to order my Frap drink, he go straight to me and get my order first. i was so surprised. i don’t mind waiting in a que. really. but his effort do touched me.. ( heheheh emo la pulak)
so the conclusion is.. for one day i really know how does wheel chair bound people feel went they move around. what is the d
